Posted November 06, 2018 06:16:40Real estate agent and investor Peter McNamee said he’s not sure how long it will be before he’ll be able to see the sky again.
The former senior managing director of investment banking at Merrill Lynch has seen the sky for the first time in a long time.
Mr McNamees wife, Michelle, and his two children are expecting their first child in the next two weeks, which he said could make him feel a little bit nostalgic.
“I just want to see it again, I just want a real sense of the place, the feeling of it,” he said.
“It’s not a very nice feeling, but I’m going to take it for a spin.”
Mr McNamess wife Michelle said the sky was the only place she felt like she was close to the ground.
“The sky is the only thing I feel like I can get to,” she said.
Mr McGarry is a big believer in the sky, even though he knows it’s not going to last forever.
“There’s always going to be a time when it gets a little colder,” he told ABC Radio Melbourne.
“But it’s certainly not going anywhere.”
