‘Not for me’: Airbnb hosts in New York city lose their homes

The real estate company AirBnB says a group of renters in New Jersey have lost their homes because they were unable to find an apartment that met their income guidelines.

Airbnb says they’ve been unable to meet all of the rental guidelines in New Brunswick, which was created in April of this year.

The company says it is trying to make the city work for renters who are making more than $150,000 per year.

AirBnBs New Brunswick listings have been affected by the city’s Airbnb ban and a moratorium on new residential construction.
